The agreement extends an already established marketing and development relationship between the two companies designed to develop and promote networking technology for the PenPoint platform. PenPoint is the leading operating system for mobile computing and communications.
''Having an effective means of exchanging information between personal communicators and desktop machines is a key capability for any mobile user,'' said Mike Homer, GO vice president of marketing. ''Through our support of PenTOPs and PenCentral, we are ensuring that our PenPoint customers will continue to have the ability to take advantage of these important desktop integration solutions, with technology that is here today.''
PenTOPs is the premiere mobile networking solution for PenPoint. With PenTOPs, tablet users can easily connect their tablets to IBM PCs and compatibles running PenCentral.
PenCentral is the first networking server technology to connect pen tablets to DOS-based personal computers via serial port, parallel port, or modem. PenCentral works with PenTOPs client to provide tablet users easy access to drives and printers on DOS-based PCs.
GO will provide customer support and technical assistance to all existing users of PenTOPS and PenCentral products for PenPoint. Customers may contact GO at 415/358-2040. Both products will be available for PenPoint 1.01 direct from GO.
