Proxim Appoints Warren Hackbarth Vice President of Sales
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — August 29, 1994 — Proxim Inc., the leader in wireless local area networking, Monday announced the appointment of Warren A. Hackbarth as vice president of sales.
Hackbarth joined Proxim in May 1994 as director of market development. In his new role, he will be responsible for managing the company's worldwide sales and distribution activities while continuing to participate in the development of strategic relationships for Proxim.
"Warren possesses the sales management background and has demonstrated the skills necessary to expand Proxim's position in the wireless data communications market," said David King, Proxim's president and chief executive officer. "We are confident that Warren will make a significant contribution to Proxim's future growth."
Before joining Proxim, Hackbarth was director of value integration services for Fujitsu Personal Systems Inc., where he was responsible for managing a business unit dedicated to packaging Fujitsu's core products into vertically-oriented solutions. Prior to that, Hackbarth held various sales management positions with Informix Software, Wang Laboratories Inc. and Pitney Bowes Inc.

Hackbarth received a bachelor's degree in management from St. Mary's College in Moraga, Calif.
