IBM, Dell, Motorola, BellSouth, US West Cellular and Metricom to Cover Key Issues at the Mobile Outlook Conference and Exposition
NEW YORK — January 3, 1995 — Mobile computing and communications industry leaders, including IBM, Dell, Motorola, BellSouth, US West Cellular, and Metricom, will cover the key issues of importance to end users at the first-ever Mobile Outlook(TM) Conference and Exposition, to be held January 18-20, 1995 at Cobb Galleria Centre, Atlanta. "We have organized this three-day conference specifically to meet the needs of the end user," comments Rita Kotch, executive vice president, Kotch & Poliak. "Each session will feature major industry experts and will focus on some aspect of existing and impending mobile technologies — including case histories and advice on implementing mobile systems in corporations. We have created a conference that is information-focused, and that will allow participants to get practical advice and hands-on experience," she concludes.
Leading experts to present keynote addresses The conference, which was designed and structured by mobile communications guru Andrew Seybold, is divided into three day-long segments. The first, "Mobile Outlook – What's It All About? Planning for Wireless/Mobile Computing," will feature keynote speaker Robert Dilworth, president and CEO, Metricom Inc. Day Two will focus on "Facilitating Business By Implementing Mobile Systems" and will begin with a keynote address by James C. Hobbs, vice president, BellSouth Mobile Data Inc. The Third Day, entitled "Getting Your Hands Dirty," will feature interactive roundtables, following a keynote address by Lou Panetta, executive vice president, Fujitsu Personal Systems Inc. Seybold will also speak each day and will participate in the workshops, conference sessions and roundtables that follow each morning's keynote address.
Exhibitors at the three-day exposition, which will be held in tandem with the conference, include all major players in wireless and mobile communications.
