Mobile Insights Announces the Winners of the 1999 Mobility Awards
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — February 24, 1999 — Mobile Insights announced the winners of this year's Mobility Awards at last night's Mobility Awards ceremony during the MI99 conference in Palm Springs, California, held at the luxurious Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa. There were many nominees that came within points of first place, so Mobile Insights also awarded certificates of Honorable Mention to those products and teams. "The Mobility Awards have become a symbol of excellence and achievement in the mobile industry for mobile computing and data communications products," says Dr. J. Gerry Purdy, president and CEO of Mobile Insights, Inc.
"The Mobility Awards Committee had a tough job this year because they had to choose nominees and winners from over 250 nominations." The Mobility Awards Committee, consisting of 40 top analysts and members of the press, chose the winners of this year's Mobility Awards by voting on an online ballot.
