Wireless MD Provides Direct Wireless Access for the Mobile Medical Community Via the Palm Computing Platform

ATLANTA — September 7, 1999 — Wireless MD (TM), Inc., the nation's first wireless communications solution for the mobile medical community, today announced the addition of the Palm VII(TM) connected organizer to the list of hardware devices currently compatible with Wireless MD's interactive, medical data retrieval system. The Palm VII(TM) connected organizer uses a wireless connection and service to enable its users to easily obtain information from the Internet, conduct e-commerce transactions and send and receive instant messages. A small two-way radio enables the Palm VII device to retrieve a information from the Internet. Now, the Wireless MD platform extends the Palm VII device's capabilities into the medical community by taking advantage of the device's Internet connectivity.

The Palm VII(TM) connected organizer, along with Motorola's (NYSE:MOT) PageWriter 2000X wireless communication center enables hospitals, pharmaceutical manufactures, managed care organizations and pharmacy retailers to have direct access to the physician, eliminating the constraints created by standard communications means. "By adding our proprietary HEALTHeLINK(TM) software to the Palm VII, we are able to provide another wireless platform for the highly mobile physician and their surrounding medical community," said Wireless MD CEO and co-founder, Gary Coltek.
