Yodlee.com Extends Mobile Strategy with Yodlee2Go for the Palm VII Organizer
SANTA CLARA, Calif. — October 19, 1999 — Yodlee.com today launched the Yodlee2Go(TM) Web Clipping Application for the Palm VII(TM) organizer. Yodlee2Go is a powerful extension of the Yodlee.com consumer service, which debuted earlier this month. Yodlee.com summarizes and gives users one-click access to all their personal account information — including travel reservations, bank accounts, brokerage accounts, credit card and utility bills, shopping, news, email and more – in one central place online. Yodlee2Go makes that information available to users wherever they go, taking personalization and convenience to new heights for consumers.
The Yodlee2Go Web Clipping Application for the Palm VII organizer enables users to easily access their personal, summarized information directly from a wireless Palm VII device. Yodlee.com's first offering in the wireless space, Yodlee2Go for the Palm III and V device families, is a patented application that intelligently synchronizes users' pertinent information from Yodlee.com (such as travel reservations) into applications on their Palm Computing(R) device (such as the Date Book, Memo Pad, and Address Book). The Yodlee2Go product family is free and gives Yodlee.com users access to their personal information anywhere, any time. "The Yodlee2Go Web Clipping Application is the first personalization service to give Palm users comprehensive, real-time access to all their relevant, personal information from a single web clipping application," said Neil Daswani, chief architect of mobile services at Yodlee.com.
"Yodlee2Go for the Palm III and V device families complements this functionality by allowing users to leverage Palm's HotSync technology to synchronize most of their personal account information with their Palm Software applications." Users can sign up for the Yodlee.com beta service today at http://www.yodlee.com. The Yodlee2Go applications are also currently downloadable from the Yodlee.com site or at http://www.Palm.net. "As more transactions take place on the Web, access and organization of personal information on the Web is an important consumer issue," said Gabriel Acosta-Lopez, director of platform development services for Palm Computing, Inc., a 3Com company. "One solution for this issue is the Yodlee2Go Web Clipping Application which takes advantage of both the wireless functionality and personal information management of the Palm VII organizer."
Yodlee2Go for the Palm VII Organizer
The Yodlee2Go Web Clipping Application gives users instant, wireless access to summarized information from more than 650 sites across 12 categories, including Travel Reservations, Mileage Programs & Rewards, Investments, Bank Statements, Bills, and Credit Cards, directly from the Palm VII device. Using a secure Yodlee.com password, Palm VII users can view their latest account activity, and, with one click, insert the downloaded information directly into the appropriate Palm application.
Yodlee2Go for the Palm III and V Device Families
Using Yodlee2Go for the Palm III and V device families, Yodlee.com users can automatically synchronize their personal account information from six categories directly into the Memo Pad, Date Book, Address Book, and To Do applications on their Palm Computing device. For example, if you book a travel reservation online and track your account through Yodlee.com, Yodlee2Go will automatically add the airline itinerary to your Date Book and set a reminder alarm; place the 800 number of the travel agency in your Address book, and create a memo in your Memo Pad with the complete itinerary and confirmation number.
