Oracle Announces Support for PenPoint; Provides Client Support to New Pen Operating System
April 16, 1992 — Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ:ORCL), the world’s largest supplier of data management software and services, today announced client support for GO Corporation’s PenPoint operating system.
Oracle will provide a developers toolkit allowing ISVs, VARs, and client/server application developers to build inter-faces between PenPoint and ORACLE and IBM databases. The toolkit will include support for Oracle’s programmatic interfaces as well as a version of SQL*Net, Oracle’s popular client/server networking software. Oracle’s products for the PenPoint operating system are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 1992.
