New Verification Engine for On-Line and Scanned; Signatures Readied for Developers
February 14, 1995 — A new signature verification engine which verifies both scanned and on-line signature samples is being prepared for marketing to developers by Fficiency Software, Inc.
“Although the data structures of scanned signatures and on-line signatures greatly differ, the same verification algorithm is used in both cases,” says Fficiency’s President and founder, Dr. Frank C. Carman II.
“The only difference,” continues Carman, “is that timing information is added in the on-line signature verification pro-cess.”
CheckSigTM, a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) designed to be used with Windows 3.1 or higher, or with Windows for Pen Computing, also allows the programmer to retrieve both the on-line signature formats and the scanned formats directly from disc files.
Fficiency’s Vice President of Marketing, Greg Mockett, also adds that as a C Library, the CheckSigTM engine is easily adapted to virtually any operating environment.
The Software Developers Kit will include programming and testing documentation. Also included will be sample code for implementing the program calls and for collecting custom stroke (mouse) data for use in non-pen operating environments.
To order the SDK or to obtain additional information, call Fficiency Software at 801/225-9900 or fax request to 801/225-9903.
