GO Corp. Introduces PenPoint ‘Hot Apps’ Promotion

November 9, 1992 —  GO Corp. announced the PenPoint “Hot Apps” promotion, a collection of five innovative third-party applications available to customers who purchase PenPoint prior to Dec. 31, 1992. These applications represent some of the most creative products designed for mobile computing today.

By purchasing a mobile pen computer with PenPoint, a customer is eligible to receive the “Hot Apps.” Customers should contact GO to receive a registration card. With the registration card, proof of purchase is required.

“The PenPoint ‘Hot Apps’ Promotion allows customers to use real pencentric productivity applications and experience the benefits of pen- based mobile computing,” said Stratton Sclavos, vice president of sales at GO.

These applications include InkWare NoteTaker from Ink Development (a notetaker), Personal Perspective from Pensoft Corp. (a personal information manager), The Executive Assistant: A Numero Special Edition from PenMagic Software (financial workpaper), PenCentral from Sitka Corp. (file transfer and communications) and PenCross from Notable Technologies (a crossword).

PenPoint and the PenPoint “Hot Apps” are available from GRiD, IBM, NCR and Samsung.
