ANDOVER, Mass. — May 11, 1998 — Actual Software Corporation today announced that its MultiMail(TM) Conduit Pack will support the Apple Macintosh platform. The new Macintosh Development Kit, by Palm Computing(R) Inc, a 3Com company, has made this product possible. MultiMail Conduit Pack for Macintosh is planned for an early summer release.
Actual Software's MultiMail Conduit Pack allows 3Com PalmPilot(TM) users to use HotSync(R) technology to syncronize messages between the 3Com PalmPilot organizer and desktop email clients. It can be used in conjunction with the built-in 3Com PalmPilot organizer email program or can be used with MultiMail Professional or MultiMail Discovery by Actual Software Corporation.
"We feel the 3Com PalmPilot organizer should be an extension of your desktop. To a large number of our customers, that desktop is a Macintosh. In January, 1998, Actual Software released MultiMail Professional, a greatly enhanced and highly successful commercial version of MultiMail Discovery.
