Palm VII Connected Organizer Users Will be Able to Access Corporate Email Via Visto
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — December 15, 1998 — Visto Corp. said today it will provide a service enabling users of the Palm VII(TM) connected organizer who have one or more email accounts at work or home to access e-mails using wireless Internet connectivity. With the service, users of Palm VII connected organizer can filter and forward corporate e-mail from Lotus Notes, CC Mail, Microsoft Exchange, or POP 3 servers behind a corporate firewall. The Visto service solves the complex problem of keeping up-to-date with critical email, even when away from the office.
In addition, Palm VII users will have access to their other important information, including the files, calendar, address book, email and bookmarks on their PC's, from any PC on the Net via their Visto Briefcase, providing a complete out-of-the office solution.
