PSS Nestle Upgrades Salesforce Automation with PSS Solution
December 23, 1999 — Portable Software Solutions (PSS), part of the Vertex Industries Inc. group, has supplied over 50 handheld computers from Fujitsu Personal Systems to Nestle Ireland Ltd. The GBP 350,000 salesforce automation upgrade, which impacts three trading divisions of Nestle, is designed to enhance order capture and data management processes for field sales personnel.
The latest FMCG solution supplied by PSS consists of Fujitsu Stylistic 2300 pen tablet computers, PSS' SalesPro salesforce automation software and support services.
Commenting on the benefits of the upgrade, Nestle IT Manager Tom Rossiter said:
"PSS' SalesPro solution features call management, order capture, sales analysis and e-mail. This replaces a self-developed ordering system which needed enhancing to meet our expanding needs.
"The new system will benefit our salesforce in a number of ways. Field staff will have their fingers on-the-pulse of comprehensive account data – this will help them to manage their territories more efficiently including being able to respond immediately to customer queries."
