WaveWare Announces WaveSync Sync Accelerator/Server for 3Com Palm Computing Platform
SAN DIEGO — May 26, 1998 — WaveWare Communications, Inc. today announced WaveSync(TM), its premiere enterprise sync server product for 3Com Palm Computing(TM) platform networks. WaveSync synchronization technology is up to six times faster than Palm's Network HotSync and is the only Palm synchronizer that can effectively exploit high-latency mobile links.
WaveSync provides features needed for fleets of Palm handhelds in the enterprise environment, including multi-user support, IT management tools, and strengthened user authentication and data security. It is a drop-in replacement for Palm's HotSync/Network HotSync that supports existing client/server applications with no modification.
Dr. Martha Dennis, CEO of WaveWare, stated: "We are making our vision of extending the enterprise network to your shirt pocket a reality. WaveSync is a simple, elegant solution that marries inexpensive off-the-shelf devices to corporate networks."
